AREA OF FOCUSED PRAYER #13

“Light in the Darkness”
by Bill Wittenberg

This ministry is one of intercessory prayer for those souls who are heavily involved in evil.  We pray they will turn from evil and Satan and embrace goodness and Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.             Click here for Print Friendly Page

“I am sending you to them to open their eyes and turn them from darkness to light, and from Satan to God, so that they may receive forgiveness of sins and a place among those who are sanctified by faith in me.”

(Acts 26: 18)

Concretely, one can include those who foster pornography – abuse women and children – believe in and foster racism – engage in or promote abortion – enslave others, especially children – profit from wars and the making of destructive weaponry – foster and enact terrorism and violence – sell and promote illegal drugs, causing addictions – are involved in the occult – foster the economic oppression of others – maliciously gossip and destroy reputations, etc.

We welcome you to join this prayer team by giving of your daily prayers, works, joys and sufferings for a period of one year.  Please pray daily for these people, asking the divine mercy of God to touch

Let There Be Light

their hearts and convert them to Gospel values, this being a form of evangelization for Christ.

Who will pray for these souls whose lives are encompassed by evil and who perpetuate evil by their deeds and attitudes?  Is it I, Lord?  We as Christians tend to hold Satan and evil at arm’s length as a fearful thing, but Jesus tells us, “Pray for your enemies.”  God claims these people as His own and wants us to pray for their conversion. We are called to evanglize them. We welcome them to join us with our Father in heaven forever and ever.

By the power of your death, Lord Jesus, you conquered the power of evil and opened the gates of righteousness and holiness.  Let your victory over death and evil triumph in our own hearts and throughout the world.  We lift up before you those who are enslaved by any kind of evil.  We ask you Lord to let your divine mercy triumph even in the midst of great darkness and sin.  May your kingdom come and your will be done both now and forever. AMEN.
